My husband and I settled in Ireland in 2005 after having spent all our lives in North Carolina. To go from city life to Irish country life was quite a change, but no regrets.
I’d always loved textiles and was an enthusiastic knitter and crocheter. Then I learned to spin my own yarns, which led to keeping sheep.
We started with 3, now have 5, and most of my products are made from their fleeces. When I do need more, I’m careful to source it from farms as local as possible.
I use lots of botanicals and natural materials for dyeing, which I find in my garden and in the hedgerows nearby. I get inspiration for my yarns and knitted garments from colourful flowers in my garden and textures of the Burren landscape, all of which I can see from my cottage and studio.
Have a look my site and I hope that you like what you see!!
